I stand for God, Family, Friends, Country, Community, and the US Constitution.
We know that small businesses are owned and operated by families. We know that the job of politicians is to provide a fair platform for all businesses to operate. To that point, I am in full support of business owners safely reopening. If we can safely open one store, we can safely open them all!

It is imperative for me to have clear, concise positions. I appreciate your patience!
Make no mistake, COVID is real. But that does not mean that we have to destroy any more lives than necessary. I’m not a doctor, but I’m also not naive enough to believe one side of a story. One side of the story will make you afraid to leave your home without a mask. The other side of the story tells you that we are in a post-pandemic. They say we are testing more and we should have higher infection rates, but the death rate is not rising in correlation with the infection numbers. With all that being said, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. One of my grandfather's favorite lines was, “believe half of what you see and none of what you hear”. I can tell you that I know more people who have lost loved ones to suicide than have died of COVID. Which brings us to the topic of “Essential”. We could probably find things to debate which may or may not be “essential”. Kitchen cabinet manufacturing, probably not “essential”. Food supply —- Grocery stores, farm markets... Pretty essential.
A setting that puts our children in a social environment of quality learning is absolutely “essential”. To create a hardship on parents to choose between their job, providing for their families, or a zoom class which should not be on our radar. The truth is the teachers union has put pressure on the school boards in our district to stay closed. This is unacceptable. We have the ability to safely go to the grocery store, home improvement stores, and so many other places. We should also have the ability to allow our children the opportunity to learn in a positive social environment.
We have proven it possible to open safely in so many other places, it’s time to open for our children. Not just their education, but they’re overall well-being. The overall well-being of our families and therefore the overall well-being of our community and the future of our country.
